Ian Machado Garry Sets Sights on Carlos Prates Rematch After UFC 330

Ian Machado Garry has indicated that Carlos Prates will be his next opponent if he secures the welterweight title at UFC 330 this Saturday in Philadelphia. Garry cautioned Prates that a potential rematch would not end in the same manner as their initial encounter.

In their previous fight in April 2025, Garry dominated Prates for most of the match, winning by unanimous decision despite a late surge from Prates. Since that loss, Prates has achieved three consecutive finishes, including a knockout of former champion Leon Edwards. Garry recognized Prates as the top contender in the division.

Garry is set to challenge Islam Makhachev for the 170-pound title at UFC 330, having taken the fight on short notice after a previous loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov. UFC 330 will be held at the Wells Fargo Center, with the main card available on pay-per-view.
