Ian Rush Reflects on Career at New Anfield Exhibition
Ian Rush, the legendary Liverpool and Wales striker, has opened a new exhibition titled All You Need Is Rush at Anfield, which showcases memorabilia from his illustrious career. The exhibition opened on August 14 and features trophies, match balls, and jerseys, including items from his time at Juventus and international caps from his appearances with Wales.
Rush, who is Liverpool's all-time leading goalscorer with 346 goals in 660 matches, expressed his emotions while reminiscing about his career. He noted that he had to sift through old belongings to gather items for the exhibition, which includes significant memorabilia such as two Golden Boots and match balls from his hat-tricks.
The exhibition is named after a popular chant sung by Liverpool fans and includes a hologram of Rush that guides visitors through the displays. Rush reflected on his career highlights, including his FA Cup final victory against Everton in 1986, which fulfilled his childhood dream of scoring in the final.
