Ilja Dragunov Praises GUNTHER as One of Wrestling's Greats

Ilja Dragunov, an AEW star, has acknowledged the significant role that former WWE rival GUNTHER has played in his wrestling career, referring to him as one of the all-time greats.

Both wrestlers developed their careers in Germany, competing frequently in the promotion wXw before their rivalry transitioned to NXT UK. Dragunov attributes much of his professional growth to GUNTHER, noting that his most significant advancements occurred after facing him in the ring.

Dragunov emphasized the importance of GUNTHER's straightforward approach, which he believes has enhanced his own talents. While GUNTHER has achieved notable success as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Dragunov's main roster tenure was shorter than anticipated, lasting two years.
