Inaugural St Helena Marathon Set for February 2027

The inaugural St Helena Marathon is scheduled for February 28, 2027, on the remote island located approximately 1,950 kilometers off the southwestern coast of Africa.

This marathon will cover a 42.2-kilometer course that winds through lush forests and volcanic ridgelines, showcasing the island's natural beauty and historical landmarks, including sites related to Napoleon's exile.

Participants can also choose shorter distances of 21.1 kilometers, 10 kilometers, or 5 kilometers, making it accessible for families. The marathon is part of St Helena's Adventure Week, offering various activities such as climbing Jacob’s Ladder and snorkeling at a shipwreck. Entries are currently open, and early booking is advised due to expected high demand.
