
India to Host International Football Friendlies Against Brazil, Panama, and Uruguay
India is set to host international football friendlies against Brazil, Panama, and Uruguay during the FIFA international window from September 21 to October 6, 2026. The matches will take place in Kolkata and Bengaluru.
The Indian team will first face Brazil on October 3 at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata, followed by a match against two-time World Cup champions Uruguay at the same venue on October 6. Additionally, India will compete against Panama at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on September 26.
This series of matches marks a significant opportunity for Indian fans to see three World Cup teams play in the country. Uruguay, currently ranked 20th in the FIFA rankings, has a rich football history, having won the World Cup twice. Panama, ranked 44th, also participated in the 2026 World Cup but was eliminated in the group stage.
