Indianapolis Colts Dismiss General Manager Chris Ballard
The Indianapolis Colts have announced the termination of General Manager Chris Ballard. This decision comes after the team's defeat to the Tennessee Titans in Week 6, a loss that allowed Tennessee to secure their first victory of the season.
Ballard, who is 57 years old, began his career as a college coach in 1994 and later joined the Chicago Bears as an area scout in 2001. He spent 12 years with the Bears before moving to the Kansas City Chiefs as their director of player personnel in 2013. The Colts hired him as their GM in 2017, and he signed a four-year extension in 2021.
During his tenure, the Colts recorded a 72-82-1 record over ten seasons, which included two playoff appearances.
