Indiana's Wide Receivers Shine in Season Opener

In their season opener, Indiana's football team secured a decisive 52-16 victory against North Texas, highlighted by the performances of wide receivers Charlie Becker and Nick Marsh. The duo combined for three touchdowns on just six receptions, with Marsh making a spectacular one-handed catch for his score and Becker adding two more touchdowns from 9 and 35 yards.

Becker, who ranked No. 9 on Dane Brugler’s preseason draft board, demonstrated his skills after a productive season last year, while Marsh, a transfer from Michigan State, also made an impact, landing as WR4 on the same board. Both players are now being recognized as potential breakout stars in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Quarterback Josh Hoover, who is adapting to a pro-style offense, will be under scrutiny this season, especially with the talented receiving corps around him. Hoover is currently ranked as the sixth-best senior QB prospect for the 2027 draft.
