
IndyCar Reports 23% Increase in TV Ratings for 2026 Season
The 2026 IndyCar season has wrapped up, and FOX Sports has reported a successful year with a 23% increase in TV ratings compared to 2025.
Felix Rosenqvist achieved victory in the closest Indianapolis 500 finish ever, while Alex Palou secured his fifth championship in six years. Scott McLaughlin won the season finale at Laguna Seca, concluding an 18-race series.
IndyCar averaged 1.681 million viewers per race, with the Indianapolis 500 attracting an average of 6.635 million viewers. The Freedom 250 Grand Prix also set a record for non-Indy 500 races, averaging 3.282 million viewers. The Laguna Seca finale averaged 895,000 viewers, and nine races surpassed one million viewers, a first since 2008. The Indy NXT division also saw a 14% increase in viewership, averaging 127,000 viewers.
