Inter Miami Secures Playoff Spot with Victory Over NYCFC

Inter Miami achieved a playoff berth by defeating New York City FC 2-0 in Miami Gardens, Florida. Rodrigo De Paul scored with an assist from Lionel Messi, while Germán Berterame added another goal, marking a significant win for the reigning champions.

This victory followed a 4-0 triumph over DC United, where Messi and Luis Suárez contributed to the scoring. The match also marked the second league win for new coach Cristian González, who took charge in mid-September.

Berterame netted his eighth goal of the season in the 20th minute, and De Paul extended the lead just before halftime. Goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair secured a clean sheet, denying a penalty in the final moments of the game.
