Investigation into Ed Oliver's Son's Drowning Concludes as Accidental
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has ruled the drowning death of Ed Oliver’s 2-year-old son, also named Ed, as accidental, concluding the investigation into the incident. The toddler drowned in the swimming pool at their Texas home on June 28, prompting a response from police after a life-in-danger call was made.
Upon arrival, authorities found the child unresponsive, and he was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:18 p.m. Following the incident, Ed Oliver, a defensive tackle for the Buffalo Bills, was seen speaking with officials outside his home, visibly emotional.
The Bills organization expressed their condolences, with general manager Brandon Beane stating the loss is an unthinkable tragedy for any parent. The team has been supportive of Oliver during this difficult time, as he has requested privacy and prayers from the public.
