Ireland Cricket Squad Sees Return of Arlene Kelly and Alice Tector for ODI Series

Arlene Kelly and Alice Tector have been included in Ireland's squad for the upcoming one-day international series against England, set to begin on September 1 in Leicester. Both players missed the recent 3-0 series loss to the West Indies due to injuries.

Head coach Lloyd Tennant has named a 14-player squad, with Gaby Lewis serving as captain and Orla Prendergast as her deputy. Aimee Maguire, Sarah Forbes, and Ava Canning will not participate due to injuries. Prior to the series, Ireland will play a warm-up match against an ECB Development XI on August 29.

Additionally, Tector will lead an under-19 team participating in the ECB Super 4s from August 24-28, before joining the senior squad for the matches. Selector Lauren Rowles emphasized the importance of regular competition against top teams for player development and competitiveness.
