Isack Hadjar Calls for Clutch Redesign After US GP Setback
Isack Hadjar has requested a redesign of the clutch on his Red Bull car after experiencing a challenging start at the United States Grand Prix, where he finished sixth. Starting from third on the grid, Hadjar lost positions early in the race, falling to fifth after being overtaken by Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
Hadjar's difficulties continued as he faced radio communication issues and left the pits with the incorrect engine map, which he estimated cost him about a second per lap. He expressed frustration over the clutch's performance, stating that it is too fragile and struggles with temperature management.
This season has been particularly tough for Hadjar, who missed several races due to a wrist injury. Despite these challenges, Red Bull has shown confidence in him by extending his contract until 2027.
