Isack Hadjar Faces Mechanical Issues at Singapore Grand Prix
Isack Hadjar encountered multiple mechanical issues during the Singapore Grand Prix, resulting in his retirement from the sprint race and a back row start for the main event. The Red Bull driver began the sprint from ninth due to a track limits violation but had to retire after just two laps because of a power unit failure.
Although the team made provisional repairs to the RB22 for grand prix qualifying, a broken fourth gear prevented Hadjar from setting a lap time, eliminating him from Q1. This incident follows a recent battery failure at Sepang, which had already affected his performance.
Hadjar expressed his frustration over the situation, noting the challenges of a sprint weekend that limits practice time and adjustments to the car. He highlighted the difficulties of not being able to test and optimize the vehicle, which hindered his ability to compete effectively.
