Isack Hadjar Reflects on Criticism of Red Bull's Strategy
Isack Hadjar has recognized that his emotional reaction to Red Bull's strategy following the United States Grand Prix was perhaps too strong, although he maintains that his criticisms are valid. He pointed out that the team needs to be more open-minded regarding their race strategies and improve their start performance.
After the race, both Hadjar and teammate Max Verstappen expressed dissatisfaction with Red Bull's execution, particularly regarding persistent technical issues with team communication and race starts. Hadjar noted that these problems hindered their performance, suggesting that resolving them could have led to better results.
During a media session in Mexico, Hadjar admitted he could have expressed his concerns more tactfully. He explained that the team may have misjudged the effectiveness of their strategy, particularly regarding tire degradation. This misunderstanding contributed to a communication breakdown during the race, which affected their overall performance. Red Bull's team principal has indicated that some issues, like the start problems, will require hardware changes that cannot be implemented this season.
