Ishan Kishan Stars as East Zone Dominates Day 1 of Duleep Trophy Final

Ishan Kishan played a pivotal role for East Zone, scoring an unbeaten 111 as they reached 385 for four against South Zone on the opening day of the Duleep Trophy final at the MAC Stadium in Chennai.

Kishan's innings came off 135 balls and included 14 fours and one six. He was supported by Abhimanyu Easwaran, who scored 72, and Shikhar Mohan, who contributed 85 runs. The East Zone batters capitalized on a lackluster performance from the South Zone bowlers.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, a 15-year-old talent, also made an impression with a quick 44 runs. Kishan and Kumar Kushagra, who was not out on 63, formed an unbroken partnership of 144 runs for the fifth wicket, solidifying East Zone's strong position in the match.
