Islam Makhachev Sets New UFC Win Streak Record

Islam Makhachev established a new UFC win streak record at UFC 330, achieving his 17th consecutive victory with a unanimous decision against Ian Machado Garry in Philadelphia.

This win broke Anderson Silva's long-standing record of 16 straight victories, which had remained unchallenged for over a decade. Makhachev now leads the all-time list, followed by Kamaru Usman with 15 wins and Merab Dvalishvili with 14.

The event at Xfinity Mobile Arena also set a new gate record, generating $6.7 million and attracting a crowd of 19,238, marking the UFC's first return to Philadelphia since 2019. Makhachev, who previously held the lightweight title, is expected to defend his welterweight championship next against Michael Morales, the No. 3 contender.
