Islam Makhachev Willing to Box Conor McGregor
Islam Makhachev has stated that he would be open to boxing Conor McGregor, indicating that he does not require a large financial incentive to take the fight. He believes he could manage McGregor effectively after the initial rounds.
McGregor, who holds a professional record of 22-7, is recognized for his boxing skills, notably competing against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a 2017 match. Currently, he is recovering from injuries sustained during his recent fight at UFC 329 in July. Makhachev, who has improved his striking abilities while ranking high in the UFC, views a potential matchup with McGregor as appealing to fans.
At 38 years old, McGregor is aiming for a final fight under his UFC contract in July 2027, after which he intends to transition to bare-knuckle boxing.
