Ismaila Sarr Needs Time to Process Liverpool Move Collapse, Says Coach
Ismaila Sarr, a forward for Crystal Palace, is expected to need time to adjust after his proposed transfer to Liverpool fell through, as stated by head coach Pierre Sage.
The Senegalese player, who was the top scorer for Palace last season, was linked with a move to Liverpool late in the transfer window but ultimately remained at Selhurst Park. Sage acknowledged that Sarr must process this disappointment, noting that many players dream of playing for a club like Liverpool.
Sarr, 28, has not played this season due to a groin injury, missing matches against Everton and Manchester City, and will also be absent for the upcoming game against Fulham. Meanwhile, Palace attempted to secure Belgium forward Malick Fofana on transfer deadline day, but he opted for a move to Sunderland instead.
