Ismaila Sarr Reflects on Unsuccessful Move to Liverpool
Ismaila Sarr, who was expected to join Liverpool before the transfer deadline, will require time to come to terms with the unsuccessful move, according to Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage.
The Senegal international, who was Palace's leading scorer last season with 21 goals, emerged as a target for Liverpool in the final days of the summer transfer window. However, the transfer did not materialize, meaning Sarr will remain at Selhurst Park until at least January.
Sage acknowledged that the opportunity to play for a club like Liverpool is a dream for many players, and while Sarr needs time to adjust, he emphasized the importance of having a strong season with Palace. Sarr has not played in the first two Premier League matches this season due to a thigh injury, which will also prevent him from participating in the upcoming game against Fulham.
