Israel Adesanya Critiques Alex Pereira's Heavyweight Plans

Israel Adesanya has voiced his concerns regarding Alex Pereira's intentions to have a backup plan for his upcoming fight. Pereira, who suffered a loss while challenging for the interim heavyweight title in June, is set to face Sergei Pavlovich in December.

Following his recent comments about potentially dropping back to light heavyweight if he does not succeed, Adesanya questioned Pereira's decision to continue competing in the heavyweight division. He expressed confusion over why Pereira would not simply remain at light heavyweight after his previous fight.

Despite their rivalry, Adesanya believes Pereira could find success in the middleweight division, although he thinks light heavyweight would be a more suitable weight class for him. Adesanya noted that Pereira's health could be affected by the weight cuts he has not made in a long time.
