Jack Miller Disappointed by Australian GP Cancellation
Jack Miller has expressed his disappointment following the cancellation of the Australian Grand Prix, which prevented him from making his farewell MotoGP appearance at Phillip Island. The event was called off due to low visibility that rendered the medical helicopter inoperable, leading to the cancellation of all scheduled track activities on Sunday.
This cancellation marks a disappointing conclusion for Phillip Island as a MotoGP venue, as the circuit is set to be replaced by a new urban track in Adelaide next year. Miller, who rides for Pramac, was looking forward to racing at his home circuit before transitioning to the World Superbike Championship next year.
Despite the cancellation, Miller took to the track for two parade laps with the other riders, entertaining fans with a wheelie before expressing his gratitude to those who attended despite the adverse weather. He reflected on the significance of the event and thanked fans for their support throughout his career, noting the emotional impact of not being able to race in front of them.
