Jack Williams Delisted by West Coast, Attracts Interest from Multiple AFL Clubs
Jack Williams, a 198cm forward-ruck, was delisted by West Coast in mid-October, leading to interest from several AFL clubs. Over his five seasons with the Eagles, he scored 46 goals in 54 games after being drafted with Pick 57 in the 2021 National Draft.
Williams' performance may have been impacted by the club's challenging rebuild, but his potential has prompted clubs to inquire about a summer trial. One of the teams he has met with is Tasmania, which will join the AFL in 2028, suggesting a possible VFL stint for Williams in 2027 could pave the way for a return to the AFL.
His delisting followed the Eagles' acquisition of several players, including Milan Murdock and Jack Viney, and the emergence of other key forwards. While North Melbourne, Richmond, Essendon, St Kilda, and Port Adelaide are among the clubs that could consider Williams, each has specific needs that may influence their interest.
