Jackson Chourio Sets World Series Record Despite Brewers' Loss
Jackson Chourio made MLB postseason history for the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night, despite the team's 4-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 4 of the World Series. Chourio recorded two hits, marking his fourth consecutive game with multiple hits in the series.
With this achievement, he became only the 10th player to have more than one hit in the first four games of a World Series. Chourio is also the second player in the last 40 years to accomplish this feat, following Todd Zeile in 2000. At just 22 years old, he is the youngest player to achieve this milestone.
In the World Series, Chourio has accumulated 10 hits, two RBIs, four runs scored, two doubles, and three stolen bases. His overall playoff performance includes 16 hits, two home runs, and nine RBIs, contributing to a .291 batting average. Chourio's postseason success follows a standout regular season where he recorded 25 home runs and 75 RBIs.
