Jackson Jobe Returns to Tigers' Rotation After Recovery

Jackson Jobe is returning to the Detroit Tigers' rotation after a lengthy recovery period of 14 months following Tommy John surgery. His comeback is particularly timely, occurring after the team traded away key pitchers Tarik Skubal and Casey Mize.

The 24-year-old right-hander is scheduled to make his debut against the San Francisco Giants on August 8. His return is expected to help address the void created by the trades of Skubal and Mize.

Jobe recently rejoined the Tigers in Seattle, where the team secured an 8-0 victory over the Mariners, positioning them just 1.5 games behind the final AL wild-card spot. In his final rehab outing, Jobe demonstrated his readiness by throwing 70 pitches over four innings for High-A West Michigan, achieving a fastball velocity of up to 100 mph and posting a 1.76 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 15.1 innings across five rehab starts.
