Jackson Koivun Selected for U.S. Presidents Cup Team
Brandt Snedeker has announced that 21-year-old Jackson Koivun, a rookie on the PGA Tour, is the final captain's pick for the U.S. Presidents Cup team during a television special.
Koivun, who turned professional in June after a successful amateur career, will participate in his first professional team event as the U.S. faces the International team at Medinah Country Club from September 24 to 27. He previously secured a victory at the 3M Open, defeating Scottie Scheffler by three strokes.
Snedeker expressed confidence in Koivun's abilities and highlighted his potential contributions to the team. Koivun joins five other captain's picks, including Chris Gotterup and Xander Schauffele, while six players qualified automatically based on points. The International team, captained by Geoff Ogilvy, also revealed its six captain's picks on the same day.
