Jackson Koivun's Stellar PGA Tour Rookie Season Continues

Jackson Koivun, a 21-year-old rookie on the PGA Tour, is enjoying a remarkable season, having recently secured his third victory at the 3M Open on July 26. He achieved this with a final round of 66, finishing the tournament at a record 25-under 259, three strokes ahead of world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota.

Following his victory, Koivun has moved up to No. 70 in the FedExCup standings, which qualifies him for the upcoming FedEx St. Jude Championship. He also improved his position in the Official World Golf Ranking, rising from No. 206 to No. 70. Despite his success, Koivun remains relatively unknown to the public, noting occasional recognition at airports.

Koivun's journey to professional golf began after a successful collegiate career at Auburn, where he was a three-time Southeastern Conference Player of the Year and a two-time national champion. He turned professional just before the John Deere Classic in early July and has already made a significant impact on the tour.
