Jackson Mead Among Port Adelaide's Departures
Port Adelaide has announced the delisting of Jackson Mead, a father-son player, who will leave the club alongside Zak Butters. This marks the first confirmed departure for the 2026 season.
Mead was selected with the 25th pick in the 2019 draft and has played a total of 74 games for the team. He participated in every match in 2024, followed by 20 games last year and 10 under coach Josh Carr.
Butters, a free agent, plans to exercise his rights and return to Victoria, with Geelong, Richmond, and the Western Bulldogs expressing interest in him. Port Adelaide is currently conducting exit meetings for all players, with decisions pending for several others, including Darcy Byrne-Jones, Brandon Zerk-Thatcher, and Ollie Wines.
