Jacob deGrom, a two-time Cy Young winner, opted to remain with the Texas Rangers despite interest from the Atlanta Braves and other teams during the trade deadline. The Braves expressed their desire to acquire deGrom, but he declined to waive his no-trade clause, stating his commitment to winning with the Rangers.

DeGrom, who signed a five-year, $185 million contract with Texas in December 2022, emphasized his intention to help the team compete for a World Series.
