Jacob Misiorowski Achieves 200 Strikeouts in 2026, Second-Fastest in MLB History

On Sunday, Jacob Misiorowski, the ace pitcher for the Brewers, struck out six batters in his first three innings, marking his 200th strikeout of the season.

This achievement makes him the first pitcher to reach 200 strikeouts in 2026 and the second-fastest in MLB history, completing the milestone in 129 ⅓ innings pitched.

Misiorowski's performance included a heavy reliance on fastballs, with 29 of his first 30 pitches being of that type. He currently leads the majors in ERA at 1.63 and WHIP at 0.73, positioning him as a strong contender for the National League Cy Young award.
