Recently, shoulder soreness has kept him out of the last four games, including the current matchup.

The Athletics, currently struggling with a record of 49-78, are likely to fill Wilson's roster spot before their upcoming series in Houston. While Wilson's performance has declined this season, he had previously established himself as a major league player.
