Jadarian Price to Take on Key Role as Seahawks' Starting Running Back
The Seattle Seahawks have confirmed that running back Zach Charbonnet will begin the season on the physically unable to perform list, indicating a significant opportunity for rookie running back Jadarian Price in the team's offense.
Previously, the Seahawks utilized a two-back system featuring Charbonnet and Kenneth Walker, who has since departed in free agency. Charbonnet is still recovering from a knee injury sustained during last season's playoffs, and the team did not acquire any notable running backs aside from Price.
Price is now positioned as the primary running back, with George Holani and Emanuel Wilson serving as backups. Holani had limited success last season, while Wilson joined the Seahawks after a stint as a backup in Green Bay. Price has received positive feedback during the offseason, with head coach Mike Macdonald expressing confidence in his readiness for a substantial workload.
