
Jaguars Finalize Roster Cuts Ahead of Season
The Jacksonville Jaguars have completed their roster cuts to finalize their team at 53 players ahead of the upcoming season.
Among the players waived are linebacker Yasir Abdullah, quarterback Joey Aguilar, and defensive tackle Tommy Akingbesote, along with several others across various positions. The team also waived quarterback Carter Bradley and defensive tackle Kelvie Rose due to injuries.
In addition to the waivers, the Jaguars released cornerback Corey Ballentine and several other players, while placing offensive lineman Patrick Mekari and defensive end Zach Durfee on injured reserve with a return designation. The Jaguars also traded tight end Hunter Long to the Arizona Cardinals, along with a 2028 seventh-round pick, in exchange for a 2028 sixth-round pick.
