Jaguars' Head Coach Addresses Delay of Game Penalties
The Jacksonville Jaguars secured a victory against the Philadelphia Eagles in London last Sunday, capitalizing on the Eagles' clock management issues. However, the Jaguars faced their own challenges, particularly in the fourth quarter when they missed opportunities to extend their lead.
With under nine minutes remaining, a pass from Trevor Lawrence to tight end Brenton Strange brought the Jaguars to the Eagles' 1-yard-line. Unfortunately, they burned a timeout before the next snap, followed by a false start and two delay of game penalties, which culminated in a failed fourth down attempt, leaving them scoreless on that drive.
Head coach Liam Coen acknowledged the team's discipline issues, noting that they incurred 13 penalties against the Eagles, mirroring a similar performance against the Bengals the previous week. Coen stated that he could improve play management by simplifying calls during critical moments, especially in loud environments, to help the team avoid such penalties in the future.
