Jaguars Set Record for Rushing Defense in First Five Games
The Jacksonville Jaguars have achieved a notable defensive milestone this season, becoming the first team since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger to not allow an opposing player to rush for 40 or more yards in the first five games. The highest rushing total against them so far was 39 yards, recorded by Broncos running back Jonah Coleman.
In addition to this record, the Jaguars have not permitted a player to rush for 75 yards in their last 23 games, including a playoff match last year. This season, opposing running backs have managed only 210 yards on 83 carries, averaging just 2.5 yards per attempt, marking the best performance against running backs in the NFL.
Looking ahead, the Jaguars will face the Houston Texans in London, a team currently struggling with their rushing game, ranking 31st in the league with only 395 rushing yards this season.
