Jaguars Trade Tight End Hunter Long to Cardinals

The Jacksonville Jaguars have finalized a trade sending tight end Hunter Long to the Arizona Cardinals. This transaction was reported by NFL Media.

Hunter Long, who joined the Jaguars last year, recorded 12 receptions for 85 yards and two touchdowns over nine games. He was originally a third-round draft pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2021 and was traded to the Rams as part of the Jalen Ramsey deal before the 2023 season.

In exchange for Long, the Cardinals will send a 2028 sixth-round pick to the Jaguars, while also receiving a 2028 seventh-round pick as part of the agreement. The Cardinals currently have Trey McBride as their primary tight end, but Tip Reiman is on the physically unable to perform list, which could affect their roster decisions.
