Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs has scored a touchdown in every game this season and is close to tying Barry Sanders' record for most touchdowns before age 25.
Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs has achieved a touchdown in each game this season. With another touchdown on Sunday, he would equal a record held by the legendary Barry Sanders.
Barry Sanders, a Hall of Famer, scored 57 touchdowns before turning 25, the highest in NFL history for that age. Currently, the 24-year-old Gibbs has 56 touchdowns, placing him just one shy of tying Sanders and two away from surpassing the record.
Gibbs will not turn 25 until March, making it likely that he will score at least two more touchdowns to break Sanders' record. He is currently tied with Todd Gurley, who also scored 56 touchdowns before reaching 25, for the second-most touchdowns by a player aged 24 and younger in NFL history.
