Robinson's deal, which could reach a maximum of $25 million per year, provides Gibbs with a benchmark as he contemplates whether to match, exceed, or aim for a higher figure. Both players have similar skill sets, and Gibbs is positioned to negotiate based on his own contract terms.

Robinson's contract includes a total of $15.067 million in previous earnings, while Gibbs has a higher old-money total of $17.476 million. This difference means Gibbs would need to secure at least $2.409 million more over the next five years than Robinson to match his new-money average. If Gibbs aims for a $25 million per year average, he would require a five-year contract worth $92.476 million.
