Jahmyr Gibbs Maintains Top Fantasy Outlook for 2026
Jahmyr Gibbs has consistently been a top-performing running back, averaging over 21 PPR points per game for the past two seasons. He achieved this by averaging more than 5.0 yards per carry, scoring double-digit rushing touchdowns, and accumulating over 500 receiving yards, all while playing behind a strong offensive line.
This offseason, the Detroit Lions parted ways with David Montgomery, which may enhance Gibbs' scoring opportunities. Although the Lions signed Isiah Pacheco as a backup, his presence is not expected to significantly impact Gibbs' overall workload.
Detroit has also appointed Drew Petzing as the new offensive coordinator, who has a history of effectively utilizing a lead back. While Gibbs faces competition for touches from players like Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, he has previously thrived alongside them. Concerns about the offensive line persist due to recent changes, but Gibbs' contract situation appears stable, suggesting he will be ready for the upcoming season.
