Jahmyr Gibbs Signs Three-Year Contract with Lions Worth $22.5 Million Annually
Jahmyr Gibbs has reached an agreement with the Detroit Lions on a three-year contract worth $67.5 million, which could increase to $75.75 million. The deal includes $51.5 million in guaranteed money.
Gibbs' return to practice indicated that a long-term agreement was imminent. The running back had been seeking a new contract while sharing the field with David Montgomery, who was traded to the Texans during the offseason.
At 24 years old, Gibbs is entering his fourth NFL season, having accumulated 3,580 rushing yards and 39 rushing touchdowns, along with 1,449 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns. He has been recognized with Pro Bowl honors in each of his first three seasons after being selected as the 12th overall pick in the 2023 draft.
