Jake LaRavia's Playing Streak Ends Due to Ankle Injury
Jake LaRavia, a forward for the Lakers, will not participate in the home game against the Clippers due to a sprained right ankle, marking the end of his 90-game playing streak.
The injury occurred during the fourth quarter of Wednesday's season opener against the Warriors, where LaRavia twisted his ankle while attempting to drive past a defender. This marks his first missed regular season game due to injury since joining the Lakers in July 2025.
Before the injury, LaRavia had a productive game, scoring 10 points on 4 of 5 shooting. Coach JJ Redick expressed optimism about LaRavia's condition following the injury, noting that he felt more positive about it than initially.
