Jalen Brunson to Host Saturday Night Live, Joining Elite NBA Ranks
Jalen Brunson is set to host the Season 52 premiere of Saturday Night Live on September 26, marking a significant milestone as the first New York Knicks player to do so. This appearance places him among an elite group of only five NBA players who have hosted the show, including legends like Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
Brunson's debut comes after he led the Knicks to their first championship in 53 years and matched Michael Jordan's record with 45 points in a title-clinching game. His hosting role is distinct from previous Knicks appearances on the show, as he will not just make a cameo but take on a leading role.
With experience from his podcast, The Roommates Show, and media interactions, Brunson is preparing for the challenges of live television. His upcoming performance follows a live show with teammate Josh Hart on September 24, just days before his SNL debut at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
