Jalen Coker Close to Returning for Panthers in Week 6
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker is reportedly on track to return for Week 6 after missing Week 4 due to a quad injury. Head coach Dave Canales indicated that Coker has been progressing well and is expected to play against the Philadelphia Eagles.
In the first three games of the season, Coker recorded 18 receptions for 222 yards and two touchdowns, highlighted by a standout performance in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears where he caught nine passes for 138 yards and both touchdowns. His previous success includes a notable performance in the NFC Wild Card Round last season, which led to a three-year, $35 million contract extension.
Despite his impressive start, Coker's performance in the subsequent games has been less productive, with only nine catches for 84 yards and no touchdowns. His return is anticipated to coincide with the strong play of teammate Tetairoa McMillan, which may provide Coker with additional opportunities to enhance his statistics.
