Jalen Hurts to Miss Week 6 Due to Blood Clot
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been ruled out for Week 6 due to a superficial blood clot, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Hurts sought treatment for a calf injury after the Eagles' game against the Rams on October 4. Following a full practice on Wednesday and Thursday, an ultrasound conducted on Saturday revealed the blood clot. Although doctors in London deemed it safe for him to play, a follow-up ultrasound on Wednesday indicated movement in the clot, leading to his absence for the upcoming game against the Panthers.
Tanner McKee is expected to start in Hurts' place, as the team navigates the situation. Hurts, a former second-round pick, has played five games this season, throwing for 933 yards and eight touchdowns.
