Jalen Williams Injured in Thunder's Win Over Clippers
During a game at Paycom Center on Sunday night, Jalen Williams was taken off the court on a stretcher after suffering a lower left leg injury while being fouled with 1:14 left in the Thunder's 108-101 win against the Clippers.
The game was paused for approximately five minutes as medical personnel attended to Williams, causing visible concern among players from both teams. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who was nearby, showed his distress by pressing his face into his jersey while crouching beside Williams.
Before the injury, Williams had contributed eight points, five assists, and two steals in 32 minutes of play. The Thunder have not yet provided a diagnosis, but head coach Mark Daigneault indicated that the team would receive updates on Monday. The Thunder, currently undefeated at 3-0, are preparing for their next game against Phoenix, acknowledging the challenge of playing without Williams.
