Jamal Adams Out for Season but Key to Vikings' Future
The Minnesota Vikings have lost safety and linebacker Jamal Adams to a torn quad tendon during their preseason opener against the Giants. Although Adams will miss the entire 2023 season, Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell emphasized his significance to the team moving forward into 2026.
O’Connell noted Adams' positive impact on the team in a short time, praising General Manager Nolan Teasley for facilitating Adams' signing. Teasley had previously worked with Adams in Seattle, which contributed to the decision to bring him on board.
Adams is set to undergo a procedure for his injury and will remain with the team throughout the season. O’Connell highlighted the importance of Adams' presence for younger players and the overall team morale, stating that he will be actively involved in the organization as he begins his rehabilitation.
