Jamal Adams Placed on Injured Reserve Due to Quad Tear
The Minnesota Vikings have placed safety/linebacker Jamal Adams on season-ending injured reserve following an injury sustained during a game against the Giants last Saturday.
Initially thought to be a knee injury, head coach Kevin O'Connell later confirmed that Adams tore his right quadriceps. This marks a troubling recurrence for Adams, who previously tore his left quadriceps in the 2022 season's opening week while with the Seahawks, sidelining him for the remainder of that year.
Adams returned to play in 2023 but missed the first three games of the season. As he approaches his 31st birthday in October, he faces another lengthy rehabilitation process if he intends to continue his career after this season.
