Jamal Crawford Turns Down NBA Coaching Jobs to Support Son
Jamal Crawford, a former shooting guard for the Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks, has expressed his desire to become an NBA coach. Throughout his 20-year career, he played for nine teams and earned three Sixth Man of the Year awards.
This summer, Crawford turned down three coaching opportunities in the NBA to support his son, JJ, who recently won a gold medal with the USA at the FIBA Under-17 World Cup. Instead of pursuing these roles, he traveled to Istanbul, Turkey, to watch his son compete.
Crawford remains optimistic about his coaching aspirations, stating he is certain he will become an NBA coach in the future. He indicated that he is likely to accept an assistant coaching position, with the goal of eventually becoming a head coach.
