Jamal Lewis Celebrates 47th Birthday as Ravens' Rushing Leader

Jamal Lewis, a former NFL running back and the all-time rushing leader for the Baltimore Ravens, celebrates his 47th birthday today. He was drafted fifth overall by the Ravens in 2000 and quickly became a key player for the team.

In his rookie season, Lewis rushed for 1,364 yards and six touchdowns, contributing significantly to the Ravens' Super Bowl XXXV victory. His standout year came in 2003 when he led the league with 2,066 rushing yards and achieved 14 touchdowns.

Throughout his career, Lewis reached the 1,000-yard rushing milestone four times, including two seasons with the Cleveland Browns. He retired in 2009, finishing with a total of 7,801 rushing yards, a record that still stands for the Ravens, with Lamar Jackson trailing behind.
