The offensive comment was repeatedly posted on his wife's Instagram photos. In response, Sheffield Wednesday issued a statement condemning racism, asserting that it has no place in football or society.

Lowe expressed his outrage on Instagram, emphasizing the need for parents to educate their children against such behavior. He noted that this type of abuse is becoming increasingly common. The UK Policing Football Unit is currently investigating the matter, marking the second instance of racist abuse directed at a Sheffield Wednesday player this year.
