James Borlase Extends Contract with Adelaide Crows
James Borlase, a key defender for the Adelaide Crows, has signed a three-year contract extension, putting an end to rumors about a potential trade at the season's conclusion.
The 192cm defender has been performing at a high level, establishing himself as a crucial part of the team's defense in 2026. Despite interest from clubs like the Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne, Borlase chose to remain with the Crows, having joined the club through its Next Generation Academy in 2020.
Borlase expressed his happiness about the extension, emphasizing his commitment to the team and his growth during the season. He has participated in 16 of his 32 AFL games this year. Adelaide's new general manager of list management, Jarryd Roughead, praised Borlase's dedication and performance, noting his journey from the SANFL to the AFL.
